I’m Marsha, and I’m happy you could join me. If there’s one thing I really enjoy, it’s interacting with other women and learning what inspires them. One important lady in my life right now is my absolutely wonderful editor, Shannon Clark, and she’s been reminding me to get started, get started on that blog! People need to get to know you, Girl, she says. I have no problem with that. As a matter of fact, I relish the opportunity. I’ve hesitated only because I want to be sure I’m contributing to the lives of women and not just taking up cyberspace. There’s enough of that going around.
I’ll bet it won’t take long to see that we have a lot in common. So, welcome. I do want to know what inspires you.
I love being a woman! To be blatantly honest, I can’t believe how quickly I got to the age I’m at, but thrilled with the experience life has been. I’m a woman who knows that the best is yet to come! I’m a woman who has been tremendously disappointed with herself, too, and then, just as filled with delight at things I’ve been able to accomplish. I’m a woman who has chosen to follow Jesus Christ at any and all cost. I’m a Christian woman. I know the Lord’s completely dependable love, and I’d fall flat-lined without that assurance in my heart. I live by His forgiveness. I let His promises hold me tight — oh, the sweetest peace there is! That matchless, unfailing love is my reason for getting up every day. I’m a mess if I’m depending on myself to make life work. A mess.
Like you, I’m still under construction, so bear with me.
Here, I’m going to curl up into a comfy chair so we can talk. O, just a minute. Let me get a blanket. It’s cold outside today. I’ll just grab a cup of hot cider, too. . .there. . ..now. . .tell me what inspires you. What keeps you loving life? What keeps you loving? What is it that makes life work for you? Or, is this a time when life doesn’t seem to be working?
I just have to put something out there to you as our exchange begins. I’m absolutely convinced that there’s a place in every woman’s life where she deserves a standing ovation. Every woman. My new book, Woman With Destiny in the Kingdom of God, starts with that very premise. It’s my heart’s desire for every woman out there to own this truth for herself. I applaud each of you for that special quality about you that sets you apart. I’m sorry for what you may have endured to get where you are this moment, but I applaud you even more for hanging in there. If no one’s told you lately, let me remind you that God can take what’s wrong and make it right. He can. He’s so good at making something beautiful out of whatever we offer Him. Maybe you’ve forgotten or ignored your ‘specialness’. Maybe it’s latent within you. Maybe you don’t even believe it about yourself. I believe it about you.
You are wonderfully made, Sweet Lady! God is watching you from His heavenly balcony, applauding the true beauty in you, anxious, so anxious, to show you how He loves and values you. I’d like to be a friend who helps bring that out into the sunlight of your world so you can celebrate your life every sweet day of it!
Our destiny awaits us.
Let’s get acquainted and find out all those things we have in common. It’ll be great fun, I just know it. Let me hear from you, and we’ll talk about exactly what it is that inspires the wonderful woman you are!
